Thanks so much for visiting my site! I’m Matt, a Milwaukee-based wedding photographer, and I’m looking forward to talking with you and your partner about your big day. My sidekick in the photo you’re looking at while reading this is Bob (the dog, if that wasn’t clear). While he won’t be participating in your wedding day, he’ll certainly be helping to supervise the editing process!

My photographic roots lie in landscape photography, and I first got really interested in shooting weddings while documenting my grandparent’s 70th anniversary (yes, you read that correctly – seventieth!) in early 2017. Their album from the 1940s was stunning. Seeing those photos, I knew I wanted to start capturing images for couples that they’d be able to look back on down the road and relive memories from that special day. Shortly after I was very lucky to connect with Gina of GE Creative, and have been photographing weddings as her second for the past three years.

I take an artistic, documentary approach to shooting weddings, and believe your wedding should unfold as naturally as possible. My job is to capture as many of the real, raw and authentic moments for you as possible, while you’re having fun and enjoying the celebration!

Don’t worry, we’ll still make sure to get some fantastic wedding portraits of the two of you (and your wedding party and families), but I don’t want that to be the focus of your day.

It’s also important to me to get to know you both before your wedding. Whether we meet for coffee, or an engagement shoot, or both, knowing a bit about your personality as a couple is a big part of my photographic process. It’s the little things that all add up to create the best photos. I’ll research your venue beforehand, to understand where the best light is, and what the best angles to shoot from are. On the day of, I’ll most likely show up early, and leave late (admittedly though I’m a terrible dancer, so most of those shots will probably be from the sidelines). Long story short, taking pictures is in my soul, and it consumes a huge portion of my free time. I absolutely love shooting weddings, and I’m humbled that you’re considering choosing me to be your photographer!

Please enjoy the images, and let’s connect soon!

What does it cost to hire you as our photographer?

A traditional day of full coverage wedding photography (eight hours) starts at $2,400. Every wedding is unique however, and I'd love to provide you with a custom quote tailored to your specific needs. Discounts may be available for smaller weddings and elopements. Please fill out the contact form or give me a call and I'll be happy to hook you up with more info.

Do you do engagement photo shoots?

Absolutely! I believe an engagement shoot is one of the best ways to get to know you, and if either you or your partner are camera shy I’ll help you get comfortable having your pictures taken. If you don’t have a location in mind I’ve got a long list of amazing places to shoot, and will definitely plan a fun filled day.

How many photos will we receive from our day?

This will vary a bit depending on the amount of time I’m there, and the plan for your day. For a typical 8-hour wedding you should expect somewhere in the range of 500-800 unique, fully edited photographs. Since I know you’re going to ask, I’ll deliver your complete set of photos within three weeks of your wedding day.

I notice a lot of black and white on your page, how will that work?

I’ll admit, I love black and whites … they’re classic, timeless, and really capture the soul of a moment. Some photographs simply “work” in black and white, and I’ll make the decision during my editing process. However, I definitely show more black and white than I'll usually delivery. Final galleries will typically be at around 70% color / 30% black & white.

How do we go about scheduling with you?

Please feel absolutely free to get in touch with me via the contact form on the site, or through one of my social media platforms. I’ll get back to you quickly, and set up a time to meet and talk photography (the coffee’s on me). If you’re located farther away we can always talk over the phone (very retro, I know) or email or Skype. There’s no pressure, and I won’t try and “sell” you on anything. If after we meet you decide you’d like to book with me I’ll provide you with all of the information regarding contract and deposit, and we’ll set another date closer to your wedding to connect and finalize details.

Why should we consider you for our wedding?

I love wedding days, and capturing all of the events of the day, especially the raw, real candid moments. I want to help tell your story through my photography. My style is very much documentary, but I'll be there to help guide you through your day with a bit of direction to help get the best images to remember every minute of it.
